The original Seestar S30 has been replaced by the Seestar S30 Pro
ZWO has discontinued the original Seestar S30, and we don't expect any more units. Its successor, the Seestar S30 Pro, is the same compact, 3.6 lb size and adds a 4K sensor, a sharper four-element lens, a wider field of view and double the storage. If you want more aperture for smaller, fainter galaxies, step up to the Seestar S50 Pro.

Which one should I choose?
Choose the S30 Pro if you liked the original S30's small size and price. It's the same size and weight, with a 4K sensor, a sharper lens, a field of view nearly twice as wide for large nebulae like the Orion and North America Nebulae, Milky Way and star trail modes, and 128 GB of storage.
Choose the S50 Pro if you want more detail. Its 50mm aperture gathers nearly 3× more light for smaller, fainter galaxies, and its larger battery runs up to 9 hours.
Both support Equatorial Mode, Plan mode, and ASCOM Alpaca for software like N.I.N.A. Not sure? Browse all our smart telescopes or give us a call.
Already own a Seestar S30?
To use Equatorial Mode with your S30, you'll need the Seestar TH10 on a full-height tripod such as the Seestar TC20, because the TH10 can't be used on the standard S30 tripod. The Seestar Fluid Head with Tripod bundle includes both. The Precision Tripod Leveler makes setup quick on uneven ground. Thinking about upgrading? Stunning Images, Rich in Detail
1.Professional Optical Performance of a Telescope
With a 30mm apochromatic lens design that includes ED glass(Extra-low Dispersion), meticulously optimized by optical experts, Seestar S30 ensures every star is captured with incredible detail.
2. Starlight-grade Sony IMX662 Sensor (Starves 2)
With high sensitivity and low noise, even during extended deep-sky exposures, noise interference is minimized, ensuring superior performance in the darkest nights.
3. Triple Filters for Various Shooting Scenarios
Dark Field Filter: Automatically reduces noise generated by long exposures during deep-sky photography.
UV/IR Cut Filter: Effectively blocks infrared light interference for clearer celestial captures.
Astronomical Light Pollution Filter: Optimized for OIII and Ha wavelengths, it minimizes the impact of moonlight and urban light pollution, delivering crystal-clear images of emission nebulae.
4. Smart Noise Reduction with Automatic Post-Processing
One-tap image creation, reducing noise while preserving the target details, ensures clarity even in heavily light-polluted areas. You can also fine-tune your image’s style to suit your taste and share your stunning image instantly.
