Yes, our inventory is accurate!
Condition: This is a C6 OTA that is in excellent condition. The body is clean and unmarked; the optics are also relatively clean, although there are some tiny specks of dust on the corrector plate. See the photos. We have taken this into consideration in the pricing.
This scope has been set up for use in astrophotography, and also includes the ZWO EAF (a $199 value), the Celestron aluminum dew shield (a $110 value), and the Celestron dew heater ring (a $44 value). The previous owner used this with a Starizona Hyperstar and ASIAIR Plus that we are also currently selling at the time of this listing. Therefore, this only includes the visual back, and does not include an RDF, a diagonal, or an eyepiece.
The dew shield has some minor scratching on it, and the dew cap has a white mark on the edge where the black paint is missing. See the photos. Obviously, these will not affect your use of this gear.
This is $1233 worth of gear for just $750! We can ship this to you for a $29 shipping charge. There are no returns on this item.

ZWO EAF 5V version
This version of the Electronic Automatic Focuser (EAF) from ZWO eliminates the 12V DC port, allowing the unit to transmit data and be powered through a single 5V USB 2.0 Type-B port. This means simpler setup and fewer tangled cords!
The ZWO 5V EAF is an electronic focuser that allows for dynamic, precise focus control for deep-sky and planetary imaging alike. A major benefit of this electronic automatic focuser is its highly integrated design and support for INDI, ASCOM drivers and software, ASIAIR and ASIStudio, automatic focusing, manual focusing with hand controller (sold separately), and a temperature sensor (sold separately).
Compared to earlier versions of the ZWO EAF, the main advantage of the 5V USB is the elimination of the 12V power supply port. Not only does this allow for better cord management, but reduces power consumption and supply pressure when in remote settings. This unit receives power and transmits data through its single USB 2.0 port. A single separate auxiliary port supports either a temperature sensor or hand controller (sold separately).
The Standard EAF 5V USB 2.0 works with all capture software that is supported by the ASCOM platform. This can be added to the ASIAIR WiFi imaging and control system (sold separately) to complete the system and allow users to run their entire imaging sessions with a smartphone or tablet and can do so indoors, if they choose.

Celestron Aluminum Dew Shield and Cap
This Aluminum Dew Shield with Cover Cap is an essential accessory that protects the tube in the field. The dew shield reduces radiative cooling of the Schmidt corrector lens to the night sky, keeping the lens below the dew point longer and preventing dew from forming on the lens. The Aluminum Dew Shield also increases image contrast by blocking stray light from entering the telescope for better viewing and astroimaging. Use the Aluminum Dew Shield on your Cassegrain Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope tube confidently, knowing it was created for your exact instrument.
- Helps prevent dew formation on the Schmidt corrector lens
- Prevents off-axis glare from entering the optical system
- Rigid body with a velvet-lined interior surface to reduce stray light
- Two adjustable clips for easy installation and disassembly
- Cable management at the base of the shield—perfect for using the Fastar/Hyperstar configuration or using in conjunction with the Celestron Dew Heater Rings
- An included cover cap keeps your telescope free from dust when not in use
Construction
The exterior of the dew shield is a rigid, aluminum cylinder that will not fold, flex, or deform. Inside, a velvet-lined interior absorbs any additional stray light and excess moisture, creating optimal contrast when viewing and imaging. Attach the dew shield to your telescope tube with the two adjustable clips to ensure a snug fit.
We’ve also constructed the cover cap from durable yet lightweight aluminum. When your telescope is not in use, place the cover cap on your dew shield to protect your Schmidt corrector from stray dust particles. The cover cap also offers you the ability to quickly and easily acquire dark frames for imaging.
If you’re an astroimager who enjoys using your Schmidt-Cassegrain in the Fastar/Hyperstar configuration, you’re probably used to running cables out the front of the dew shield. Simplify and streamline your setup with the Aluminum Dew Shield’s integrated cable management slot at the base. This slot gives you an easy way to corral essential cables (like the ones for our Dew Heater rings) without potentially allowing light pollution to leak in. Also, there are cutouts to accommodate dovetail rails on the top and bottom of the telescope tube, ensuring a good fit regardless of the configuration.

Celestron Dew Heater Ring
Note: A separate dew heater controller and power source are required to utilize the heater ring.
- Heater ring provides the most efficient heating directly to the corrector lens to prevent the formation of dew
- Permanently mounts to your existing telescope tube for a seamless look—plus, you’ll never forget to bring it with you
- Integrated thermistor continuously monitors the temperature of the corrector lens when used with the Celestron Smart DewHeater Controllers.
- Rigid, lightweight, and durable aluminum construction
- Included storage clip and cable management clip keep your cables organized
The Celestron Dew Heater Ring is the ideal dew prevention solution for your Celestron telescope. This must-have accessory will improve your observing or imaging nights year-round. The Dew Heater Ring permanently mounts to your Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain optical tube, replacing your retaining ring, so you'll never be caught without it. The installation process is quick and easy (follow the manual for instructions).
How it works
The Dew Heater Ring replaces the plastic retaining ring on your Schmidt corrector lens for efficient heating across the lens. The ring is constructed of lightweight, durable aluminum. Its rigid frame supports the cable circuity and the telescope's Schmidt corrector lens. Unlike other heating bands or strips that inefficiently heat the lens cell to warm the glass, the Celestron Dew Heater Ring heats the corrector glass directly, providing the most efficient transfer of heat to prevent dew formation.
Simply plug the ring into an external 12V DC power source for consistent, continuous heat that will prevent dew from forming even under heavy dew conditions. The Dew Heater Ring features two storage clips to keep the power and thermistor jacks secure when not in use while accommodating the telescope's dust cover.
The Dew Heater Ring also comes with a cable management clip that connects to the telescope's front cell. Corral the power and thermistor jack to prevent them from dangling and reduce unwanted pulls on the cable connection to the rings.
The Dew Heater Ring comes complete with:
- Dew Heater Ring
- Cable management clip
- Power jack extension cable
- Paper installation shield
Enhance your setup
To achieve the highest level of dew prevention while maximizing power efficiency, we strongly recommend pairing the Dew Heater Ring with a Smart DewHeater Controller (sold separately). The controller uses the ring's built-in thermistor and its internal environmental sensor to provide just the right amount of heat to the corrector to prevent dew based upon the ambient temperature, ambient humidity, and temperature of the Schmidt corrector, which can dramatically reduce the ring’s power draw, greatly increasing battery life. The ring also includes an extension cable for connecting the ring directly to one of the controllers’ heater output ports, or to a third-party controller’s heater output port. (Note: the ring’s integrated thermistor is only compatible with the Celestron Smart DewHeater Controllers).
We also recommend adding a dew shield to your setup. While not mandatory, a shield will cut down on the amount of power the Dew Heater Ring needs to keep the optics clear.
