Vaonis' already-formidable Vespera Pro has been upgraded with superior optics in the Vespera Pro II.

The new Vespera Pro II boasts redesigned Petzval-inspired optics, featuring a refined field corrector and precision internal baffles. Together, these improvements produce sharper images with better contrast and resistance to stray light.

The Vespera Pro II now also includes a lightweight, but heavier-duty premium carbon-fiber tripod: Stay low if you like, but when you need additional height, the included tripod is easily extendable to 36".

Exploring and capturing nebulae and galaxies doesn't have to be complicated and tedious.

With its integrated 12.5-megapixel camera and innovative technologies, Vespera Pro offers an all-in-one solution to provide you access to astrophotography.

Whether you're new to the hobby or a skilled astrophotographer, Vespera Pro has you covered. Capture stunning images right from the start, progress faster, and showcase your expertise.

With its 12.5 MP sensor and exclusive Live Panorama mode, Vespera Pro allow you to effortlessly captures ultra-high-definition images of the cosmos in full colors. Zoom in for a closer look at galaxies with mesmerizing details or go wide field to embrace the full beauty of expansive nebulae.

START EASY

No expertise required! Like its predecessor, Vespera Pro II simplifies astrophotography with automatic pointing, tracking, and focusing, coupled with advanced image enhancement (referred to as stacking). In just a few minutes, you'll have everything set up and ready to go.

GO EXPERT

Ready to elevate your astrophotography game? Choose your field of view and framing to capture the perfect shot. Capture calibration frames, customize camera acquisition settings and retrieve 16-bit RAW image files to leverage your skills with your favorite astronomy image processing software.

**Here's a terrific in-between approach for folks learning astrophotography post-processing:

Unlike other smart telescopes, the Vespera can also save 16-bit TIFF files, after the telescope has done the basics of stacking (so you don't have to do it), but without brightening the image or making any other adjustments! So the most creative steps are ready and waiting for your input—it's a wonderful way to begin with post-processing (with Photoshop, or Affinity Photo, or even Lightroom or any regular image-processing app that handles 16-bit files).

Vespera provides "ENS" Tech

Among these are Vaonis' proprietary CovalENS and BalENS technologies.

On the CovalENS side, the system gives an astrophotographer better control over the image in important ways:

  • It provides expansion or widening of the captured image area (beyond what the camera can normally do) by adjusting the aim of the telescope as time passes, to create a "mosaic" image over a wider part of the sky.  Along with getting exactly the crop you want, ahead of time, the increased image area also boosts resolution, leading to even sharper images. When using this technology, the known bugaboo of field rotation is eliminated—without the need for an equatorial mount or polar alignment or the special skills needed to take advantage of them.
  • This technology also takes advantage of the changes in telescope position to perform "dithering," which helps control digital noise and improve sharpness—and again, all without the special skills that would be otherwise be needed with conventional astrophotography gear.
  • This system works so easily and transparently that some of our customers didn't realize they were already using it!
